Wisconsin Artist!

This funky plate is evocative of north-woods Wisconsin, complete with Sasquatch! Eaton's pottery is built for function and whimsy. Each piece is handmade from slabs that are stamped before being painted by hand in Eaton's studio.

After earning her degree in ceramics from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Beth Eaton began working at Lincoln Art Pottery, a ceramics shop on Milwaukee's South Side. She received a free studio space in exchange for keeping regular store hours: she worked on her pottery from 10am-5pm Monday through Friday. She credits this schedule for providing the discipline she needed to find her hand in her art. She worked diligently, experimented with techniques and became familiar with various suppliers' materials. In 2002, Eaton became a mother and built a garage studio where she continues creating her work to this day.

Each Beth Eaton Pottery piece is individually handmade and one-of-a-kind. Plate measures approx. 11 x 5.5".
