Alessi's Mediterraneo Fruit Bowl is perfect for lovers of the sea. It's modeled on the Mediterranean, and is intended to be reminiscent of the feel of coral and marine plants on the seabed.

Designer Emma Silvestris has a degree in literature and art history, has worked as a schoolteacher (as you do), and currently works mostly as a jeweler. She loves the sea.

The Mediterraneo Fruit bowl was created in 2005. It's made from cut and molded steel with baked on epoxy resin. It makes apples and oranges and bananas look very attractive indeed.

Measures 8 1/2" in diameter x 4" tall.
