For more than thirty years, Vasa Mihich's work has continuously evolved and changed as he has explored the absorption and reflection of pure light. Based on simple Euclidean shapes, his laminated acrylic forms are composed of layered filters of colored planes that vary according to the source and placement of ambient light. Observe from different angles and in different light to appreciate their ever-changing appearance.
Vasa's sculptures are included in the permanent collections of many museums and corporations in Europe, Asia and the United States, including our very own Milwaukee Art Museum. He is a senior Professor of Design at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Cube measures 1.75". Made in Vasa's Los Angeles studio from cast acrylic plastic, commonly known as Plexiglas. Colors will vary. Cubes sold individually.
