Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959) significantly influenced the world with his visionary work in architecture. In an effort to create a unified whole, Wright often designed the interior furnishings, floor coverings, lighting, windows, and surrounding landscape.
The windows, designed by Wright for the Avery Coonley Playhouse, are considered to be some of his finest accomplishments in art glass. With asymetrical complex outlines and suggestions of flags, balloons, and confetti, the brightly colored windows bring to mind images of a parade.
