This tie's bold design is adapted from the Tree of Life art glass window designs featured prominently throughout the Darwin D. Martin House (Buffalo, NY). Wright's geometric version of the ancient tree of life symbol uses a square for the roots, straight lines for the trunk, and chevrons for the branches. Frank Lloyd Wright (1867–1959) is widely recognized as the 20th century's greatest architect. His buildings as well as his other commissions represent some of the world's most important architectural and design treasures.
Boxelder Neckwear was born in 1989, the brainchild of founder Jim Stratte. Jim, dissatisfied with the novelty necktie business, struck out on his own, determined to create a new niche in the neckwear industry: high quality, art-inspired ties. Boxelder Neckwear offer unique, licensed neckwear from the designs of Frank Lloyd Wright, M.C. Escher, and others.
