Wisconsin natives and husband and wife team, Jeanne and Richard Bascom, began their artistic venture into the world of functional fused glass art in 2006. With a shared dream to make the mundane beautiful, they began to create colorful works of art from their home in West Milwaukee. The glass is kiln-heated to temperatures near 1300 degrees Fahrenheit where it becomes soft and fluid. Each piece is then delicately cut, fused and molded into unique vases, plates, bowls, jewelry, spoon rests, artistic panels, dishes, plates and more. Craftsmanship and acute attention to detail and quality of materials allow the Bascoms to spread beauty, style and function from their home to others.
