Made exclusively for the Milwaukee Art Museum, this tie was designed in Milwaukee, WI with local company Boxelder Neckwear.
Boxelder Neckwear was born in 1989, the brainchild of founder Jim Stratte. Jim, dissatisfied with the novelty necktie business, struck out on his own, determined to create a new niche in the neckwear industry – high quality, art-inspired ties. Now, Boxelder Neckwear is a leading quality tie and scarf manufacturer in the museum stores across the country. The company produces unique, licensed neckwear from historically celebrated designers and artists such as Frank Lloyd Wright and M.C. Escher, and new designs from contemporary artists such as Ken Mowatt of the Gitksan Tribe in Hazelton, British Columbia.
100% silk.
