Pauline Parker was a life-long painter, a gifted art teacher, a wife, a mother of three daughters, and a grandmother of five. Her quilts were often inspired by personal experiences, a poem, or a misprinted piece of fabric, which would lay the groundwork for a story.

Parker shared this same expressive approach to art with her family by creating a special book titled The Quilt. Using paper, pen, and fabric scraps, she stitched together a heartwarming narrative about making a quilt with her granddaughter, Jeanne. This story and her art have now been replicated in a one of a kind fabric book. Parker's daughter Margaret provided her design expertise to help this book come to life page by page.

Each book was hand-stitched by a local seamstress and the cover fabric was dyed in small batches. The hand crafted quality of this design creates unique differences book to book and no two are exactly alike.
