Gem lore believes that spinel is a stone of hope, revitalization, and feeling the joy of being alive. Regardless, we know that this delicate black spinel necklace comprised of tiny faceted gemstones will sparkle like black diamonds. Will it bring you joy? We certainly hope so. At about 39", it can be worn long, doubled, or layered. It is perfect for any occasion. Available with gold or silver rings.

Sue Rosengard founded her company in 1986 in New York City after receiving a BA in French from the University of Illinois, with a year of study in Paris and Italy. Her jewelry education is primarily self-taught, although she suspects her inspiration partly comes from growing up in Chicago among the skyscrapers and Frank Lloyd Wright influenced buildings. The designers of the Modernist era have also been significant influences on Sue- particularly jewelers Margaret de Patta and Paul Lobel, sculptor Alexander Calder, and Russel Wright.

Sue's goal is to create affordable, well-crafted and well-designed jewelry that appeals to all ages. The contemporary geometric shapes are designed to flatter the face of the wearer while being lightweight, easy to wear, and timeless.

Web exclusive items can only be ordered online. Inventory is not onsite at the Museum Store location and not available for curbside pickup.
