The museum's 2023 annual ornament features the art of Debbie Sajnani recreated by artisans using a reverse painting technique.

Debbie Sajnani (They/Them) centers their practice in creating artwork that celebrates diversity and promotes inclusivity. Through creating colorful and dynamic illustrations, Debbie captures the spirit of their own cultural intersections and identities. As a neuro-divergent individual, Debbie's creative process reflects their lived experiences while also infusing their artwork with joy and vibrancy. Their most recent projects include DEI home products for Kohl's Corporate, Hispanic Heritage Month artwork for the Milwaukee Film Fest, and Milwaukee Art Museum's newest holiday ornament inspired by their own Mexican heritage.
